School board approves fall fundraisers

A slate of fall fundraisers was recently approved by the Alcorn School District Board of Education.

Alcorn Central Elementary School students plan to sell 2016-17 yearbooks, sell discount cards and the PTO will host a fall festival.

Alcorn Central Middle School students will pay $1 to wear a Halloween costume to school on Oct. 31. ACMS will also host a Beauty Review and cheerleaders will sell T-shirts.

Alcorn Central High School FBLA will sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts to raise funds. The AC Baseball Boosters will host a silent auction at the first home basketball game and sell chocolate chip cookie dough.

The Alcorn Central campus choral department will sell Tupperware, while the dance team will sell $10 Dominoes Pizza cards and host a Beauty Review for pre-K through sixth grade.

At Biggersville High School, basketball boosters plan to sell t-shirts, host a basketball league and sell discount cards. BHS students will also sell t-shirts and the FCA will sell T-shirts.

Kossuth Elementary School will sell cookie dough and fall pictures.

Kossuth’s PTC will sell third and fourth-grade football and cheerleading participants pictures and also sell sky lanterns.

The Kossuth Middle School Athletic Booster Club will sell concessions and merchandise during the 2016-17 basketball and baseball seasons.

Kossuth High School FCCLA will sell popcorn and chocolate. The softball team will sell BBQ plates and the art class will sell hamburger plates.

KHS cheer plans to host a Beauty Review, while the math and science club plan to host a Spirit Nigh at Zaxby’s for a percentage of profit.
