For Rogelio Yepez, the 29-year-old owner and operator of Yepez Mexican Restaurant on Fulton Drive, the best part of the job is making customers happy. “I love to cook and make sure the customer leaves satisfied,” said Yepez. “The best thing for me is when they tell me everything was good when they’re leaving.” The Yepez Restaurant opened for business three weeks ago. Its owner wants it to be an alternative to chain Mexican restaurants — offering a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, the kind of food that can be found in a restaurant in the heart of Mexico. Yepez is married to Engracia Benitez, who helps with everything at the family-operated restaurant. / Staff photo by Bobby J. Smith
