KOSSUTH – A "Trunk or Treat" in Aggieland is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Kossuth High School will host the second-year event at the KHS softball field parking lot from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

“We ask so much of our community – we feel this is a good way for us to give back a little,” said Kossuth Principal Travis Smith.

It was two teachers who first started the "Trunk or Treat" events at the school.

KHS educators Cindy Killingsworth and Paige Null said the event is a way for Kossuth community kids and parents to safely treat-or-trick before the Halloween rush.

“We have several different organizations from the area coming to set up. The high school students from the clubs and groups will be set up giving out candy, as well,” said Killingsworth. “We plan on having a good time and giving out a lot of candy.”

The softball field parking lot is located behind the Kossuth gymnasium.
