Frank Berry, the owner of Berry’s Trading Post, has been in the gun, coin and jewelry business since he was 12 years old. “This is what I’ve always liked to do. I’m past the retirement age, but I keep on doing it,” said the 71-year-old Berry, whose business has been in the same location on East Shiloh Road for 46 years. Born and raised in Alcorn County, Berry is an avid collector of antique Deringers, Bowie knives and dueling pistols. “I’ve always been interested in them all of my life,” he said. His father was the founder of Berry Hydraulics (later Tyrone Hydraulics) and was an inventor with 300 patents to his name. / Staff photo by Bobby J. Smith
