Corinth resident George Shahin finds joy in life through humor — in laughing himself and telling jokes to make others laugh. The 48-year-old has many opportunities to share his sense of humor with the people he works with and serves at his job. The Palestine native can be found most days in his trademark brown straw fedora behind the counter at the Crossroads Quick Stop on Harper Road, just east of the Highway 45 intersection, where he has worked for the last eight months. “I love it, love coming to work,” Shahin said of his job. “All the people, the customers, my co-workers — it’s lovely.”
