Continuing their efforts to raise funds to benefit the children of Alcorn County, the ladies of Junior Auxiliary of Corinth are hosting two exciting raffles.

Items in the raffles include a Yeti Hopper 30 Soft-side Cooler and a choice of three different firearms, courtesy of Big Bang Trading Company.

Chances on the Yeti cooler are $5 each or 5 for $20. Tickets for the gun raffle are $10 per ticket or 3 for $25. The winner of the gun raffle can choose one of three guns – a Kimber Micro .380 pistol, a Stoeger P3000 12-gauge shotgun or a Browning A-Bolt III rifle.

Tickets may be purchased by visiting House of Whit or by seeing any J.A. member. The winners of the raffles will be announced during the 55th Annual Charity Ball on Saturday, Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve).

Chances can be bought up until the drawing and ticket-holders need not be present to win.

“We have some great items up for grabs this year which will appeal to men and women alike,” said Charity Ball Co-Chair Michelle Brooks. “I encourage everyone to get in on the raffle because if you don’t buy a ticket, you can’t win.”

Highlighting the “In the City” theme with a whimsical new design, orders for Charity Ball T-shirts are also being taken. This year’s T-shirt is a dark gray, long sleeve with the J.A. crest and a top hat on the front; and a city skyline with dazzling pyrotechnics on the back.

The commemorative tees, designed by Charli Terry Gulledge of New York, New York (formerly of Corinth) are $20 each and come in sizes small through 2X. They are available at House of Whit or through any J.A. member. Monday, Dec. 5 is the deadline to order.

“We ask everyone get their orders in as soon as possible to guarantee the size the want,” said Brooks. “We also ask that Charity Ball attendees send back their R.S.V.P. cards with their choice of entree since there will be a sit-down dinner this year.”
