Basket Fund goes to $1,885

The spirit of giving this Christmas season is alive and well in the Alcorn County area.

Donations are now arriving for the 21st Annual Corinth Rotary Club / Daily Corinthian Christmas Basket Fund.

A $23,000 fund raising goal was set so 1,000 food baskets can be given to local families on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Crossroads Arena.

The newspaper has received $1,885 in donations so far.

Donations include $50 from Brett Horton in memory of James and Betty Horton; $130 from James N. Rodgers; and $100 from R. Christy Morgan.

Christmas Basket Fund donations can be made “in honor of” or “in memory of” a special person or persons. The tribute will be published in the Daily Corinthian.

Donations can be brought by the newspaper office or mailed to: Daily Corinthian, Attn.: Christmas Basket Fund, P.O. Box 1800, Corinth, MS 38835.
