A lifelong member of the Booneville Junior Auxiliary, Jennifer Koon enjoys spending time with friends and visiting new places. She currently serves as the CTE counselor at the Alcorn Career and Technology Center and has been an educator for 24 years — all of which have been spent working with teenagers. “I always laugh and say they keep me young at heart,” said the 46-year-old. “I love to see students excited about learning new skills and enjoy helping them move toward the next phase of life after high school.” A 1988 New Site High School graduate, Koon is a member of Mt. Olive Church where she has been a Sunday School teacher for many years. She has one daughter, Molly, 24, and a soon-to-be son-in-law, Cameron Bonds of Tishomingo. / Staff photo by Kimberly Shelton
