L.A. Story is currently in her third tour of duty at the Daily Corinthian. She is a 1984 graduate of Effingham High School in Effingham, Ill., she attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and finished up her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2012. She initially began working at the paper in 1998, working as a clerk doing classified line ads part-time. She has worked as an ad designer/composer, layout, columnist, photographer and staff writer and has won awards out of both the Advertising and News Departments. She is also a fiction writer and poet, having been published in several small press magazines. She has written two novels and is working on a third. Her hobbies include writing, reading, music and nerdy SciFi/Fantasy movies. She is the proud mother of four grown children and four grandchildren. She and her husband, poet Keith W. Sikora, reside in Glen.
