Corinth native Ernestine Norris has a history of helping. For 13 years, she led the Alcorn County Chapter of the American Red Cross, coordinating responses to disasters, providing training programs and assisting military families. “It was, you might say, a 24-hour a day job,” said Norris. After retiring from that agency, she became director of the Corinth Welfare Association in 2004, where she enjoys helping people in need. A member of First United Methodist Church, Norris enjoys tending to her flowers and spending time with her family, including eight grandchildren.
