Betty Ann Bowden

Funeral services for Betty Ann Bowden, 62, is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Lorraine Cemetery.

Ms. Bowden died July 14, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of Lorraine Baptist Church, but attended Mills Community Baptist Church and had worked MS Care Center for more than 20 years,

Survivors include her son, Herbert Eugene Bowden; sisters, Faye Tharp, Mary Morris, Daisy Ashley, Debra Bowden and Cloyce Crum; and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Bowden; her parents, Herbert C. and Mary Davis; brothers, James Davis and Andrew Whitten; sisters, Elizabeth Davis, Birdie Jean Davis, Dot Akins and Lois Wilbanks.

Bro. Robbie Johnson will officiate.

Barbara Honeycutt

Barbara Ann Merritt Honeycutt, 49, of Burnsville died on Friday, July 14, 2017.

Born December 31, 1967 in Atlanta, Mrs. Honeycutt worked for many years at Sam’s Club in Georgia and at OSI in Georgia.

She is survived by her husband, James “J.C.” Honeycutt; son, Orryn Honeycutt (Andrea); her father and stepmother, Joe and Cindy Merritt of Las Vegas; and brothers, Jay Merritt of Florida and Steven and Patrick Merritt of Las Vegas.

Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Diane Ross

JACKSON, Tenn. — Funeral Services for Diane Ross, 67, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons.

Visitation will be held from from 5 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Forrest Memorial Park in Corinth.

Ms. Ross died Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was a 17-year employee of the City of Jackson with Bemis Ceramics.

Survivors are a sister, Sandra Leatherwood; son, Todd Odle, and grandson, Keaton Odle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Ross; and her parents Azel and Jean Leatherwood of Corinth.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to: The Pinson Baptist Church or The American Heart Association.

Emily Dean Johnson

Funeral services for Emily Dean Johnson, 94, of Corinth is Monday at 4 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mrs. Johnson died Friday, July 14, 2017 at Country Cottage in Corinth. Born December 16, 1922, to the late Samuel Richard Dean, Sr. and Ruby Meeks Dean, “Munu”, as she was affectionately called, raised five boys before founding Vitality Health Foods in 1969. She owned and operated the store for 35 years. She was a faithful member of Meeks Street Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed being with her family, playing the piano, working crossword puzzles and bowling with the Vitality Gals.

Survivors include her sons, Sam Johnson (Sherry), Fred Johnson( Dianne) and Paul Johnson (Debbie) all of Corinth; daughters-in-law, Joan Johnson of Woodstock, Ga., and Jan Johnson of Corinth; sister-in-law, Kathleen Pett of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren, Karen Isbell, Warren Johnson (Holly), Katy Johnson, Jimmy Johnson (Roan), Jenny Mansel, Russ Johnson (Megan), Stacee Jobe (Mark), Stephanie Briggs (Russell), Season Ward (Ryan), Sarah Johnson, Freddie Johnson, Mackenzie Whittemore, Becky Witt (Phil), Cristy Boggs (Showny), Leanna Johnsey (Joe) and Emily Anne Noble (Jeremy); 31 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and her friends and caregivers at Country Cottage, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William Johnson; sons, Warren Johnson and Jim Johnson; a sister, Fadra Dodd; and brothers, John Thomas Dean, Claude Taylor Dean and Samuel Richard Dean, Jr.

Mrs. Johnson’s grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Charlie Browning and Minister Jim Allen will officiate the service.

Virginia Turner

Funeral services for Virginia Ann Harbin Turner, 73, of Corinth, is set for 2 p.m. Monday at Henry Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home.

Mrs. Turner died Monday, July 10, 2017 at her residence. Born on August 17, 1943 to the late John Clyde Harbin, Jr. and Mary Virginia Seaton Harbin,she was of the Pentecostal faith and loved her animals.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Turner of Umatilla, Fla.; her grandson, Max Turner of Langley AFB, Va.; her granddaughter, Tiffany Turner of Corinth; her brother, John Clyde Harbin III of Turrell, Ark.; her sister, Patty Thomas (Dave) of Clarksdale, Ark.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rev. Merl Dixon will officiate.
