During the regular Tuesday night meeting of the Mayor and the City of Farmington Board of Aldermen, the board approved the low bids for a two-part project.
The board approved the $153,490 for Hemphill Construction for Part A of the project. Part A is for improvement to the water treatment plant.
Part B was approved for Buzz Plaxico Dozer Service at $76,901.36. Part B is for adding water lines on the north side.
Funding for the project is paid for with a $443,160 Community Development Block Grant by the Mississippi Development Authority, Community Services Division.

The City Board approved the request of Farmington Police Chief Keith Little to add a new part-time officer. The board approved Little’s candidate, Ramiro Mares, of the Corinth Police Department.
