Corinth police are investigating what appears to be a homicide.

Corinth Police Chief Ralph Dance told the Daily Corinthian late Monday afternoon a man was found dead in his trailer at 1704 Glover Drive about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

“We are treating this case as a homicide,” said Dance. “Detectives are on the crime scene, a preliminary investigation is underway and we are awaiting the coroner.”

The police chief described the victim as a black male.

A friend arrived at the home to check on the man and the front door was open, said Dance.

“The friend saw the victim laying on the floor,” said the police chief. “He left and ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911.”

Dance promised to release more information to the Daily Corinthian as more details develop in the homicide case.
