•The Shiloh Ridge Athletic Club will host a three-day ‘Kids Clinic’ Thursday-Saturday, July 20-22 from 8:00 am-2:00 pm each day.

The Clinic is open to kids ages 7-11 and you do not have to be a member at Shiloh Ridge to participate. Cost for the clinic is $175 for children of Shiloh Ridge members and $200 for non-members.

Golf and tennis will be the two sports highlighted for this clinic so each child will need specific equipment for each one. Needed items will be golf clubs/tennis rackets, appropriate sportswear and any additional gear, meds, or epipens.

For the golf sessions, at minimum, kids will need a putter, wedge, iron and driver. For tennis sessions the 7-8 year old group will need a 23-inch racquet while ages 9-11 will need a 25-inch racquet. A few additional racquets and golf clubs will be available as needed at check-in and it’s suggested each parent label their childs equipment.

•Corinth junior golfers ages 11-18 are invited to compete in the AJGT Blue harbor Point Stroke Play championship in Mandeville, LA. at Beau Chene Golf Club.

The event will be held July 22-23, 2017. The two-day, 36-hole tournament is ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and hosted by the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour. Tournament fee is $195 and includes two days of green fees, tee gifts and trophies in four age divisions.

•Ramer City Park will be conducting fall soccer sign-ups beginning July 22 at the park concession stand from 10A-1P for four consecutive Saturday’s.

The ‘Early Bird’ sign-up special at a reduced rate will be one day only on July 22 when the registration fee will be only $30 per child. The three successive Saturdays- July 29 and August 5th and 12th the fee will be $40 per child. There will be multi-child discounts with cost reduced $10 for each additional child.

The league is open for ages 2-14 and will be co-ed with a birthday cutoff of September 1.

•There will be a Ladies Football Forum on Saturday, August 5th at Tishomingo County High School.

If you’re a lady who’s curious about football and wanna learn more about the game, the school, the coaches and wanna help support the athletic program then youre encouraged to attend.

Registration will be from 9:00-9:30 am the day of the event in the end zone on the football field closest to the fieldhouse. Upon sign-in you’ll receive your group number and your t-shirt. The fee is $40 and can be submitted in several ways. You can mail payment to Lauren Thompson, 73 CR 178, Iuka, MS. 38852. •The first annual golf tournament for Havis’ Kids that was rained out on June 23 has been re-scheduled for Friday, August 11 at Big Oaks Golf Course in Saltillo.

Registration will begin at 8 am with a shotgun start at 9 am. The fee for the 4-person scrambe will be $400. There will be prize money along with food and drinks.

Havis’ Kids is a non-profit organization started in 2011 and raises money for local families with special needs children in Northeast Mississippi to take them to Disney World. Parents volunteer to provide these children with an enjoyable Disney vacation.

•Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and FCA present the 3rd Annual Dennis Shirley Tribute Golf Tournament at Shiloh Ridge.

The event will be held Friday, August 11 with registration and lunch beginning at 11:30 am with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm.

The cost is $75 per person or $300 per team. Sponsorships are also available at three levels: hole sponsors are $250, hole sponsorship plus team are $375, or purchase a corporate sponsorship for $1,250.

•Shiloh Ridge will host the 5th Annual Corinth Professionals Golf Scramble on Thursday, August 17.

This is a joint event of the COrinth Alliance and Corinth Professionals. Registration will open at 12:30 with a 1:00 pm shotgun start. The fee for the 4-person scramble is $50 per person or $200 per team and includes the 18-hole scramble, carts and green fees, plus prizes and great food by Gilmore’s.

There will also be fun and prizes for the winning team, the closest to the pin, longest drive and attendance.

•The 2nd Annual Back To School Color Run/Walk at Kossuth High School will be held Saturday, August 19. Entry fees for the ‘Fun Run” are $20 for 3rd grade and under (children in this group must run with registered parent) and $20 for grades 4-12. For parents, early registration ends August 4 and with an early entry fee of $25. After that date until race day the fee is $30.

Race day registration begins at 7:00 am and ends at 7:45 am. T-shirts are not guaranteed after the August 4 early registration deadline.

You’re asked to wear white with the event slated to begin at 8:00 am. See any member of the cross country or dance team to turn in forms. Proceeds will go to the KHS cross country and dance teams.

•You have another opportunity to help raise money for Havis’ Kids while possibly winning a trip to Disney yourself.

During this fundraiser you can purchase individual tickets for $25 or purchase 5 tickets for $100. The drawing will be held on May 6, 2018 and the winner must present the winning ticket to Havis Hurley in order to claim the trip.

Winning tickets must be used the week of October 7-13, 2018. The tickets are good for a family of four. There will be a 5-day premium park hopper or a 4-day premium park-hopper with one 2-park ticket to Universal. Tickets also include 6 nights at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
