•Plaza Lanes announces the formation of their Fall leagues. The Thursday Morning Coffee League (ladies only) will begin August 17 beginning at 9 am.
The Monday Night Major League (men @ women) will begin August 21. The Thursday Night Rebel-Vol League (mixed) will begin August 24. The Tuesday Night Church League (men, women, youth) will begin September 5 and the Monday Night Youth League will begin September 11.
All night league’s will begin at 6:30 pm. There is room currently for individuals and/or teams in all leagues. Stop by Plaza Lanes on Shiloh Road in Corinth to sign up or for more details.
•Ramer City Park will hold it’s final Fall soccer sign-up Saturday August 12 at the park concession stand from 10A-1P.
The fee is $40 per child and there will be multi-child discounts with cost reduced $10 for each additional child.
The league is open for ages 2-14 and will be co-ed with a birthday cutoff of September 1.

•The Booneville Kiwanis Club will host their 5th annual ‘Back To School 5K Glow Run’ at Booneville City Park beginning at 8:00 pm on Friday August 11.
The Booneville Kiwanis Club is an IRS designated non-profit organization and funds raised from this event will help the Booneville Kiwanis Club with its community service programs.
All participants will receive a Kiwanis logo water bottle as well as 2 glow sticks to wear throughout the run but you’re encouraged to bring as many glowsticks of your own as you like.
There will be an overall male and female winner along with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age group. The age groups will be arranged from 0-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25 etc. The cost prior to race night is $10 for those 10 and under and $20 for those over 10. Race night it will be $15 for 10 and under and $25 for those over 10. •The first annual golf tournament for Havis’ Kids that was rained out in June has been re-scheduled for Friday, August 11 at Big Oaks Golf Course in Saltillo.
Registration will begin at 8 am with a shotgun start at 9 am. The fee for the 4-person scrambe will be $400. There will be prize money along with food and drinks.
Havis’ Kids is a non-profit organization started in 2011 and raises money for local families with special needs children in Northeast Mississippi to take them to Disney World. Parents volunteer to provide these children with an enjoyable Disney vacation.

•Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial and FCA present the 3rd Annual Dennis Shirley Tribute Golf Tournament at Shiloh Ridge.
The event will be held Friday, August 11 with registration and lunch beginning at 11:30 am with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm.
The cost is $75 per person or $300 per team. Sponsorships are also available at three levels: hole sponsors are $250, hole sponsorship plus team are $375, or purchase a corporate sponsorship for $1,250.

•Shiloh Ridge will host the 5th Annual Corinth Professionals Golf Scramble on Thursday, August 17.
This is a joint event of the COrinth Alliance and Corinth Professionals. Registration will open at 12:30 with a 1:00 pm shotgun start. The fee for the 4-person scramble is $50 per person or $200 per team and includes the 18-hole scramble, carts and green fees, plus prizes and great food by Gilmore’s.
There will also be fun and prizes for the winning team, the closest to the pin, longest drive and attendance.

•The 2nd Annual Back To School Color Run/Walk at Kossuth High School will be held Saturday, August 19. Entry fees for the ‘Fun Run” are $20 for 3rd grade and under (children in this group must run with registered parent) and $20 for grades 4-12. For parents, early registration ends August 4 and with an early entry fee of $25. After that date until race day the fee is $30.
Race day registration begins at 7:00 am and ends at 7:45 am. T-shirts are not guaranteed after the August 4 early registration deadline.
You’re asked to wear white with the event slated to begin at 8:00 am. See any member of the cross country or dance team to turn in forms. Proceeds will go to the KHS cross country and dance teams.

•The 3rd Annual Laddy Aggie Softball Golf Tournament will be hosted at Hillandale golf course on Saturday, August 26.
The four-man scramble will begin at 8:30 am and there will be multiple prizes and surprises. The tournament fee is $60 per person or $240 per team and all the proceeds will go towards paying on the fence and field maintenance.
•You’re invited to ‘Date Night at Shiloh Ridge on August 31. You can choose between a couple’s nine-hole golf scramble or mixed doubles tennis, both beginning at 6 pm.
There is a $5 pot for the scramble with a $25 non-member entry fee. Non-members must come with a member and pay a guest fee for the tennis event.

•You have another opportunity to help raise money for Havis’ Kids while possibly winning a trip to Disney yourself.
During this fundraiser you can purchase individual tickets for $25 or purchase 5 tickets for $100. The drawing will be held on May 6, 2018 and the winner must present the winning ticket to Havis Hurley in order to claim the trip.
Winning tickets must be used the week of October 7-13, 2018. The tickets are good for a family of four. There will be a 5-day premium park hopper or a 4-day premium park-hopper with one 2-park ticket to Universal. Tickets also include 6 nights at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
