CORINTH — Funeral arrangements for Thurman Eugene Haley, 81, of Corinth are pending with Magnolia Funeral Home. He died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home followed by services on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements for Dawn Rene Watson, 52, are pending with Hight Funeral Home. She died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Epperson

BURNSVILLE — Funeral services for Elease Epperson, 85, of Burnsville will be at 2 p.m. today at Burnsville Tabernacle under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home. She died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab. Burial will be in Burnsville Cemetery.

Ms. Epperson was born Oct. 11, 1924. She was a retired teacher who worked for Burnsville Headstart for 28 years. She was a member of Burnsville Tabernacle.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Spoon; her mother, Doskie Blakney Spoon; one sister, Virginia Newcomb; and one brother, Clifford Spoon.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Lucien Epperson of Burnsville; one daughter, Teresa Benick (Charles) of Burnsville; one brother, Kenneth Spoon (Juanita) of Burnsville; and two sisters, Hester Newcomb and Imogene Thrasher, both of Burnsville.

Bro. Gene Coltharp and Bro. Frank Wilson will officiate.

Visitation will continue today from noon until service time at the church.

Thorne

IUKA — A memorial service for Geanie Thorne, 52, of Iuka will be held at a later date following cremation. She died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at her residence. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Thorne attended Jackson Camp Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell Thorne and Shelby Honeycutt Tyler.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Tyler (Gina) of Russellville, Ala. and Michael Tyler (Sonya) of Iuka; and three grandchildren, Madison, Logan and Landon Tyler.
